Beyonce Knowles in Dreamgirls film

Beyonce Knowles has revealed that she may ready to hang up her mic, at least for a little while anyways. She apparently told the New York Post she "might take some time off" after she films Dreamgirls which begins shooting in January.

A new film version of the Broadway hit Dreamgirls could soon have a topliner if negotiations with Beyonce Knowles go as DreamWorks plans.

Knowles was first seen on the big screen starring as Foxxy Cleopatra in Austin Powers in Goldmember and followed it up with a role in The Fighting Temptations. She'll next be seen starring with Steve Martin and Kevin Kline in The Pink Panther, due out this summer. She is currently touring with Destiny's Child.
