Beyoncé Knowles is Launching her Own Line of Designer Clothes.
Destiny's Child star, Beyonce, has signed a licensing deal with American manufacturers Tarrant Apparel Group. They will distribute a clothing line designed by Beyonce and her mother, Tina Knowles.
The collection will be called House of Dereon - named after the sexy singer's seamstress grandmother, Agnes Dereon. The line will be aimed at women aged between 18 to 28, a perfect market for Beyonce.
Beyoncé - who is the advertising face of L'Oreal and Tommy Hilfiger perfume - says she is thrilled to be launching her own brand of garments and can't wait to start sharing her ideas.
She is quoted by Associated Press as saying: "Thank God I've had the chance to do this. I have pretty broad taste. I think my mother and I both have a good idea of what people who are fashionable like.
I love clothes from my grandmother's generation, my mother's generation and contemporary stuff."
The new line is due to come out in the Fall, and if it proves to be successful the 'Crazy In Love' singer also plans to release Beyoncé branded shoes, perfumes, jewellery and other accessories.
